I’ve released Brockmann, a PmWiki skin, as open source. Brockmann is the skin that powers my wiki.
Brockmann is…
- A minimalist PmWiki Skin, inspired by the swiss designer Josef Muller-Brockmann.
- A design optimized for reading, with an optimal line-length and generous leading. It strives to follow typographic best practices.
- Friendly to being browsed on an iPhone.
- Semantic. It has a POSH structure and turns off PmWiki’s less-helpful markup “features” (
.vspace, I’m looking at you). - Focused on simplicity and elegance
It’s young code. I whipped it up taking a judo approach, focusing on the most important things right out of the gate and ignoring the rest. The CSS is robust, and the XHTML is miles ahead of the default skin in terms of semantics. It will be getting lots of love, since I use it for myself.
